I don’t get to Disney as often as I’d like to, so I always try and find ways to bring a little Disney to my home. I love a good egg roll and was pleasantly surprised at how good the cheeseburger egg rolls were! It’s like a Big Mac™️ in a wrapper! So yummy! Now you can make your own at home too!
1 pound of ground beef
1 small white onion chopped
1 glove of garlic chopped
2 tablespoons of mustard
2 tablespoons of Pickles/gherkins
10 slices of single cheese
10 spring roll sheets
Start by sweating off the onions and garlic then adding the ground beef. when the beef was browned, transfer the mixture into a sieve to get as much moisture out as possible and left to cool down.
Once cooled, add the mustard and pickles/gherkins and mixed together until combined. To ensure your rolls stay together, mix 2 tablespoons of plain flour and 3 tablespoons of water mix together until a paste is formed.
Grab a spring roll sheet with a corner facing towards you and placed half a cheese single on the corner of the pastry and spoon some of the ground beef mixture (make sure it to overfill). Roll the pastry with the filling into a cylinder shape, tucking the corners while rolling. Use the flour paste and spread on the top corner of the pastry and roll on to help the pastry stick.
Heat up a large pan of vegetable oil to 325°-350°. Place spring rolls, seam side down and fry for 2-3 minutes. Roll the over and cook an additional 2-3 minutes or until Golden brown. Once done take them out using tongs and place on some kitchen roll to absorb the excess oil. Serve with Ketchup and enjoy 👍
