When the Skyliner opened at Walt Disney World in September, guests staying at POP Century resort had transportation options. They could use the Disney provided buses or the new Skyliner.
Today, we learned that Disney is reducing the bus transportation to the resort effective immediately and encouraging guests to use the Skyliner.
A picture, posted by Passport to the Parks, shows that the buses to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios will only depart once an hour now instead of regularly like they previously did.
While Disney says that the Skyliner is the ‘convenient’ form of transportation, it has been riddled with issues since opening. There was the crash that left riders stranded for hours as well as an ongoing issue with the doors that has lead to numerous shutdowns.
If you are staying at POP in the future, be aware of this change, especially if you have reservations or Fastpasses.
