Celebrate New Year’s Eve At Walt Disney World

Wouldn’t you just love to ring in the new year at Walt Disney World? If being there isn’t magical enough, this would be the icing on the cake! Actually, WDW has some new ways to celebrate this year, including an event at Animal Kingdom.

That’s right! For the first time in forever, Animal Kingdom is having a unique countdown projected onto the Tree of Life and will have winter-themed projections on the Tree all winter long! The other three parks will also have New Year’s Eve offerings that include dessert parties and dedicated fireworks displays, similar to previous years.

With the addition of Disney’s Gran Destino and Riviera Resorts this year, there will be two new rooftop dining venues to welcome 2020. Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood, located at Gran Destino at Coronado Springs, will be hosting a party that will offer Spanish inspired food stations, live electric flamenco guitar music, photo opportunities with Mickey and Minnie, and a midnight cava toast. The party is $400 per person.

Scheduled to open December 19th, Riviera Resort’s Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera will also be hosting a NYE celebration with unique views of the fireworks at Hollywood Studios and Epcot at it’s Mezzanotte at Topolino’s: An Italian Masquerade. This party will include food stations, alcoholic beverages, live Italian-inspired music, a ‘chilled seafood display extravaganza,” European desserts, and a champagne toast. Tickets are $550 per person.

Fan favorite for fireworks views, California Grill, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, will have a magician, portrait artist, a ‘host of eccentric personalities,” plus Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald will join the festivities. This party is $675 per person.

If those sound a little to rich for your blood, don’t worry! There are more options available!

The Contemporary is hosting Countdown to Midnight: A New Year’s Eve Celebration in the Fantasia Ballroom. The party will feature a live DJ, a band, tasty treats from WDW restaurants including Tiffins, Narcoosee’s, California Grill, and Le Cellier Steakhouse. Just before midnight, guests will be moved outside to enjoy Magic Kingdom’s fireworks. Tickets for this event are $200 per person with a separate VIP experience for an additional $200.

Looking for something a little more kid friendly? The Contemporary is also hosting a Pixar-inspired event on the 2nd floor of the convention center with a meet-and-greet with our favorite Pixar characters including Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Bullseye, Woody, Elastigirl, Mr. Incredible, Sully, Mike Wazowski, Joy, Sadness, Dug, and Russell! There will be a DJ spinning the latest Radio Disney hits, a family-inspired buffet, and kid friendly stations throughout like face painting and a balloon artist! This party also includes outdoor viewing of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and is only $199 per person.

Victoria and Albert’s, located at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, is hosting a dress to impress party that will include small bites and a live harpist for $652.47 per person.

Narcoossee’s, also located at Grand Floridian, will host special dinners for NYE as well as December 30th. There will be a pre-set holiday dinner and firework viewing for $350 per adult and $140 per child.

Boardwalk’s Atlantic Dance Hall, a place I have yet to visit, will have a champagne toast, a midnight confetti drop, appearances by Mickey and Friends, and a live DJ.

Reservations for all the events, except those at Disney Springs and the Disney Springs hotels can be made via Disney’s website or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.
