We learned a few months ago that ABC will be airing a live show of the beloved Disney classic movie The Little Mermaid. At that time, we knew Moana star Auli’i Cravalho would portray Ariel, Queen Latifah will play Ursula the Sea Witch, and singer Shaggy would be Sebastian the Crab. Since then, rumors have swirled about who the other cast members would be, including Harry Styles as Prince Eric, but nothing has been confirmed. That is until now.

Graham Phillips, who was previously on The Good Wife, was announced to play Prince Eric. He is also known for his role in Evan Almighty that starred Steve Carell and Morgan Freeman. He was an original cast member in the Broadway musical 13 and has appeared twice on The Today Show as a soloist.
The role of Chef Louis has also been announced and will be played by John Stamos, who actually first played the role in the 2016 Hollywood Bowl’s production. Stamos is best known for his role in Full House as Uncle Jesse and his time with The Beach Boys.

The Wonderful World of Disney presents The Little Mermaid Live will air on Tuesday, November 5th at 8 p.m. on ABC. What do you think of the latest cast announcements? Let me know in the comments!
