Over the last few years, we’ve seen some pretty, let’s call them interesting, flavors of ice cream make it’s way into shops across the country. Flavors like lobster, spinach, mayonnaise, ketchup, and worse. Now, to celebrate National Mustard Day, which takes place the first Saturday in August, French’s has come out with its very own ice cream flavor fitting for the occasion.

In a bold move, French’s has stepped outside of the bottle and hitting the cone with a sweet, tangy, and very yellow ice cream made with, you guessed it, mustard. The ice cream, which is limited edition, was developed in partnership with Coolhause Ice Cream, an LA based creamery. The tart treat will be served with a pretzel cookie, because what goes better with mustard than a delicious pretzel!
If you’re looking to relish the flavor of this cool treat (see what I did there), it will be available in Los Angeles and New York City starting August 1. I’m not a huge mustard fan so it’s a hard no from me. I’ll leave it to you to decide if it’s a wiener or not……
