News just broke that Bob Chapek has been named CEO, replacing Bob Iger effective immediately. Iger will remain chairman through the end of his contract, which ends December 21, 2021. Chapek was most recently the chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. There is no word on what precipitated the sudden change.
